Another bargain http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Oil-Service-Kit-3...

£21 in ASDA.

Personally I have never seen the need for air freshness in my car, or anything else swimgimg from the rear mirror, if I did think I needed an air freshener, I wouldn't put it on the mirror anyway.

Some people have a good reason for air fresheners in cars, if you have a large dog or small child. Wet dog and child's vomit seem to be two smells that take forever to remove, and no matter how careful you are you will end up with a wet dog or a sick toddler at some point. However, given the existence of odour neutralizing air fresheners nowadays overpowering stench is no longer needed.

As for things hanging from your mirrors and other stuff hanging from your windscreen, it annoys the hell out of me when I'm I'm driving. I had the tax disk off on the first day and the dealer sticker out of the rear windscreen at the first petrol station. It is not in my line of sight, but it just irritated me that it was there. As for other people, it frightens me some of the things I see. iPads stuck to windscreens, those dangling CDs (which must be a liability in the sun), stickers covering the rear windscreen, parcel shelves full of stuffed toys. How some people can see anything out of their car I don't know.

In my first car there used to be furry dice (secret santa gift) or air fresheners hung from the rear view mirror (and a noddy dog on the parcel shelf - what was I thinking!!).

Can't remember which item was hanging at the time, but one of my pals turned pinging or spinning it into a game. Was no issue until he did it coming onto a very busy roundabout and I very nearly crashed from that pinging into my field of vision. It got ripped off and chucked straight into the back. It never caused me any issues but may mate did, no one in the car could believe he was so stupid!

My wife got given a "Jelly Belly" car air freshener in a secret Santa thing, it allegedly smells of Blueberries, now, I...

Do you dangle anything from your rear view mirror ?
Had the very same, until December when a kindly MOT tester took it down and advised me, as an advisory "the presenter of the vehicle is reminded that it is an offence to have objects restricting the drivers view".

So that told me.

Completely agree with this, clean and functional interiors are the only way to go for sure!
