I usually use EventTyres, they bring them to you and fit them while you sit in the comfort of your home/office/etc...

The convenience is worth the couple of quid a corner more they charge imo.
I had forgotten i used them and had fantastic service from them

I used Tyre Giant recently as they now have a link with PH and offer members a good discount. The tyres ended up being fitted by my local indie as part of the price.

Have a read.

these lot win with michelin energy savers for 73 each fitted, so still cheaper than roytheboy, about the same as a blackcircles kumho and with the nicetohave A rating for wet grip. Hopefully a bit of a longer lasting tyre as well.

If you PM the PH member dopamine who works for Tyre Giant he will get you a further discount from the normal online price. Or just put a price request in on the thread.

As I said mine were fitted by my local tyre place who I don't have any special relationship with but have used in the past. Whilst I was waiting I asked the manager if he could of matched the price, after a bit of ringing around he admitted he could only buy them in at what I had paid.

If you can get them fitted at £10 a corner it's a winner-

National Tyres did 4 for me recently for £40.

Something not known is that tyre places charge you for disposing of old tyres. It can be as much as £5 per corner. I don't know/want to know, but SIL has a mate who works in our local recycling place ( posh name for tip), who can get rid of old tyres.I get price for tyre(s) at tyre shop, then ask how much off for me to remove the carcases. Tyre places are only too happy to oblige.

They were the cheapest place for me last month amazingly, I was very surprised.

I've asked!

When I ordered them the url and website had pistonheads all over it, so I was assuming that discount had already been applied (they were 20 quid a corner cheaper than black circles), but here's hoping!

Thanks very much again.

It would win, but I've already spent too much time on this for my liking and cannot be bothered with a ringround, especially as it's well into the realms of ever decreasing returns.

I did know this - has been the case for a good few years. A motorbike shop I worked for regularly used to send me out into the yard to cut up old bike tyres into segments to fit them into the normal council dumpster incognito rather than pay the disposal fees. This must have been 10 years ago and I'm sure the cost has only gone one way. No one else (scrap meal man, local tip, farmers etc) would have them.

If you do buy online, find a local wheel refurb place to fit them. They will usually fit them for you for some cash. I use The Wheel Specialist in Bournemouth.

However, I often can't be bothered to have them delivered and fitted, so I just ring around all the local tyre places and says my shopping around and ask for their very best price. They're usualt very competitive if you give them a chance. My local place is usually only £10-15 a tyre more expensive than online, and they include fitting!

I see you're in wiltshire, if you can get upto Bristol do it and go to Ablefit tyres. They have a few locations, one is Longwell Green 01179615044. 205/50/16 toyo proxies £56 a corner last time I was in, fitted and balanced. tracking is £17.50. They do dirt cheap exhausts to, non type approved cat and front section on an Astra was £95. Backbox for my old megane was £37. Top lads.

Following on, another option if you want to come to Bristol is Cabot Tyres.
Got a Pirelli P Zero Nero GT's on 205/45/17 for £116 fitted.

£64 a corner (fitted) with Black Circles for Kumho KH17s. That's probably about as cheap as you'll find given that you'll probably pay £10 a corner to have them fitted if you get them mail order.
? Can't see that - it's a shade over £70 each on my computer
Are you looking at the higher load rating version?

Cabot are the cheapest I've ever found in Bristol yes

I've used camskill a lot recently and got them fitted locally, even cheaper. That said, I saw a tyreleader link on here last week and they seemed cheaper again. Although it may differ by tyre.

I agree the approach. Makes no sense to me for tyres to be supplied from one place and fitted by another. If any problems arise you're just stuck in the middle while each blames the other.

This. Eagle F1 or Vredistiens (or however you spell it) are always competitively priced. So are Rainsports. Local tyre place normally charge around a tenner a wheel for fitting.

By far, You don't often see a smile but they're efficient and haven't damaged any alloys yet. My biggest gripe is that I scrape my nose getting into the place. which is a pain.

Have been doing this myself this morning.

Went to see my local bloke - who I buy all of my tyres from, have all of my punctures repaired with and also occasionally have a part worn fitted by.

I didn't have to do the shopping around - he looked up blackcircles price on line and simply matched it.

Simple. I might not have got the VERY best price but it's there or thereabouts with no effort on my part.
