To be honest I'm completely bemused as to what his point was originally, let alone now. Bizarre behaviour.

I've always wanted a Defender if for no other reason than just "because". The only one of these three that really appeals is the Heritage, although an original ticks far more boxes for me personally.

The above released info states what Heritage will have. It doesn't state what it won't have - which at the moment is heresay only.

Where are the interior press shots showing no radio and no aircon?

Keep digging.

If several dealers are telling several long-standing PHers the same story, and if the official pack from LR backs that up, then dismissing it as "heresay" (unclear whether you meant hearsay or heresy!) is a bit off. I don't think any of us has anything to gain by intentionally misleading you. And as previous posters have said, if you have info to the contrary then please share it.

As for press photos, start by taking a look at the "Celebrate Defender" page on the LR website. Scroll down to the section on the Heritage model and take a look at the second 'page', which includes an interior shot.

I'm still very unclear why you're being so pissy about this. What's the problem?

I like how they put the coloured pieces on the gear sticks.

There's a couple of extreme hi-res images of the Heritage's interior in the link below. I've had a pretty good look and can't see any A/C button. Anyone know where it would be on a 15MY Defender if it had one? It's definitely not got a radio, though!

A nod to the old Series knobs?

Well said that man.
I did note that the LR spec list did not include the jacuzzi with gold plated taps and the fully stocked minibar, but I guess each is just a given in the Heritage model!

Yes, although wrong because the yellow knob was 4wd and the Red was low-range. The gearstick was plain. So, the correct alternative would have been a yellow stripe across the difflock "in" side of the transfer lever knob, and a red stripe along the bottom of the "low-range" end.

Oh, and has anyone else wondered why all the press vehicles of a British car from a British maker are all wrong hand drive?

Are these sold out then or not?

No aircon is doable, but no radio is a stretch.

I do like the heritage. Yum. Any photos of a 110 SW Heritage yet?

According to my dealer the Heritage was sold out many times over , they had 2 , one for me that I'd ordered yonks ago , and one for someone else who'd ordrered theirs a month or so after me. I'm not fussed on AC as I only really fit with the window down , the radio I'm hoping can be dealer fit and fully reversible if some nutter wants to prise it from my icy cold fingers in exchange for huge bags of cash to my heirs smile

Sort of; it would be more convincing it they were actually shiny cue-ball and space saucer knobs rather than the standard deformed ergo-blob that every vehicle has for stirring cogs. No doubt that would be deemed unsafe in a crash or summat.

The button you can just see the edge of on the right hand side of the gearknob is (or would be) the AC on/off. If you click the pic in my post, the original is high-res. smile

Here's a pic of the SVX interior for comparison:

Well, here's mine to compare.

However, will the Celebration include an interior window box and proper signage?
