Well done Ford, though is it pushrod suspension or pushrod engines?

However I think they could use some more modern racing heritage with which to produce a new sportscar. The GT40 is now an OAP.

Stunning. Hopefully better engineered and screwed together better than the last one, lol.

Ford, please remember to give this one a big enough fuel tank. Last ones range was miserly.

Am I missing something here? The Detroit Show opened today, so why not wait just a little longer until the real thing is unveiled, rather than showing a computer rendering? It's not like we've got to wait another 6 months to see it...
This is the real thing - it drove on to the stage at Detroit

A twin-turbo V6 automatic?

I'll pass, thanks.
So you wont be replacing the MX5 with one?

Personally I think it looks ace. I'll take mine in Gulf colours please.

Look at the thickness of the doors and the huge width of the sills - that is NOT going to be an easy car to get into!

....and heaven only knows how they managed to lose two cylinders. Can't see the American shelling out big cash for this. But maybe it will be cheap.

Have to agree with this. It looks pleasing enough but this power-plant does not belong in a supercar, no matter how much they turn the boost up. A supercar has no need whatsoever to be "downsized"

My MX5 with depowered steering and no driver aids will be prized from my cold, dead hands!

So quarter of a century after the 3.5 V6-turbo Supercar (XJ220) appeared, we now have an auto version of a 3.5 V6 turbo Supercar (GT) ... with 60 more bhp.

Funny how progress goes...

Love it or loathe it, this strikes me as a master class in how to unveil a new supercar.

I detest all that teaser shot crap and priming of journos a year in advance and then the 'accidental' sneak shots on the road.

It is so much more enjoyable to log on to a website at the end of the day and 'bang' there it is, driven into centre stage and seemingly ready to go.

In my eyes that shows confidence and respect.

it might be the angle of the picture...
