Will this push prices of the old GT up, or down (as the old one is on my bucket list, I'm hoping the latter)?

For the good of all mankind, surely it is time to merge the 3 threads on the Ford GT into one?

This will cause some concern at GM for the top of the pile Corvette and will also cause Fiorano and Stuttgart to miss a beat.
.
Regarding the comment of the Corvette, surely this makes the new '15 Corvette Z06 look a complete bargain, $78k for 650hp 650ftlbs, a manual shifter (or auto) removable targa top, race pedigree and a V8. Plus it looks bloody marvelous. I would love one, but price quoted here in UK is £85k, with import duty, VAT, SVA compliance modifications etc. Which puts it at a price point with nearly new Vantage v12 & R8 V10...

If the GT is $200k, then it is not competing with Corvette on price, and only stands to make the corvette look a complete bargain IMO.

This Ford GT is Amazing! What a breath of fresh air!! Just Full On Awesome!

Failari's? No thanks. In my opinion even with the badges removed id rather die than own one and everything i believe it stands for. Shame as the engineers do produce some lovely cars, oh and im not talking about the press cars!

Lamborghini? Huracan, brilliant even if it is a bit Audi and the doors dont do anything special, but the stylings not in the same league as this "Hypercar" GT. Aventador is brilliant but v12 doesnt make for the best handling.

Mclaren? I dont see true Mclaren in the 650s yet, too much mediocre 12c styling remains. New baby P1 entry car would be my choice i think, they are getting better all the time.

Porsche? I dont see them, they are so boring i subconsciously block them out like bad advertising. I would hear a 918 coming though! Unless it was in emode..

Audi R8? Will have to see what the new one looks like, having seen the new TT im not excited.

Aston? Yes please! But the next Gen Vantage, its going to be super sexy for sure.

I imagine it's going to be pretty quick around the 'ring, as it's going to be a big step up from the FF Ecoboost that ran 7:22...
