Every minicab I get into seems to have the EML on. I guess in their case it's mostly because they have removed the EGR.
funny you should say that, I got a cab to the airport today (VW Passat) and the EML was on

And the man from the MOT station, he say............... YES

Passed with ease - the difference in the two emissions print outs is unbelievable. It's running cleaner than some cars will at their first MOT

bd. I knew I should have took it home and tried to fix it myself. hehe alas, the wife wouldn't let me!

Nice to have a car with 12 months not for £250 and a bit of effort.

Looks like I'm using it for a trip to Scotland next week ("we're not going in that fking van" - my other half) and then it'll be tidied up nicely ready for sale.

The courgette smell remains although it's dulled hurl

I'm reliably informed it's a marrow! hehe

It was taken to the primary school where she works and used for the kids project, then promptly forgotten about! biggrin

Oh no! That's bad timing, karma for the easy MOT pass? I've never changed a clutch in my life, but can't be a massively ruinously expensive job can it??

Usually a fair bit in labour. Not really a rolling around on the floor job and I don't have a lift

Tempted to send it to the auctions to be honest!

This is what I can't find, rules changed in 2016. I'm sure I heard now it is.

I was advised (albeit by a muppet manager of a local kwik fit) that any errors/warnings on the dash were MOT failures. At the time I had a 407 and the tyre pressure sensors were all borked, he stated that they would need to be corrected for the MOT. I did then have confirmation from an independent that the kwik fit bloke was talking bks. (Sold the car shortly after, it was a Peugeot, I shouldn't have ever bought it)

SWMBO is concerned though, as her Zafira has popped up with a warning - independent checked it, said that the car is okay, seems to be a fault on one of the sensors, rather than a fault with whatever the sensor is sensing.

Has the car had the dashboard recall done?

Its a Zafira A, recently had the ECU die; replacement worked for a few days before popping up with the EML warning - garage claims its an issue with a fan sensor - the fan is coming on fine.

I'm having problems with my ELM327, something up with my Sonys bluetooth (after a recent update, ta Sony) so can't check it myself.
