Thoughts on this garage's standard of work.........?

300 is a fair chunk of money for custom exhaust work, especially for just adding a second pipe. For that money no i wouldn't be happy!
Kung fu Panda - i don't know those establishments well myself, though iirc Topgear are mainly suppliers for parts. Personally i would go to the JP Exhausts you mentioned - if exhausts are their business, they won't do a shoddy job. But again, no personal experience!

I agree it doesn't look good, but if you didnt agree/specify the routing of the exhaust piping, I think you'll struggle to get anything back from the garage unless you're pleasant with them and manage to extract some goodwill. If you can't get them to have another go, you might just have to suck it up and see if somewhere else can sort it.
Some pretty harsh comments on here - a diesel BMW wouldn't be my choice either, but then neither would some of the cars owned by certain harsh respondents (i.e. each to their own!)....the OP is not the first person to try and make a car look sportier than it is!

Whilst 300 quid is cheap, I did a full set of headers for that recently....so yes, you've had yer pants pulled down. However, if you wanted it doing a specific way, you should have stated how you wanted it doing, or at least stayed whilst they worked out where to route it to see if you were happy.
Why on earth they didn't just split the backbox and weld the pipe on the other end though, I don't know.

So what next op, nice set of M badges? They would really impress your mates.
My bets on an M4 badge front and back and possibly one on each wing OP - Have you looked into adapting a genuine BMW rear silencer? I would have thought that easier and better quality.

The nastiness of some of the comments on here is staggering.
I wouldn't stick twin pipes on my 320d either, but it's a free country.
I was thinking that, its very playground. I can deal with a nasty comment if its funny, but most of these are just nasty.I wouldn't stick twin pipes on my 320d either, but it's a free country.
