By far the NSX is the most underrated supercar ever. The new one has to be very special to beat it.

great video, good bit of banzai

hits the rev limiter a few times but I guess thats natural given the power is all at the top end

makes me laugh after 8mins of caning the car he causally goes straight into the carpark and pulls the handbrake on

cool down, what cool down sir?

Four hundred and thirty three THOUSAND US DOLLARS!

I like them. But come one!

And you can't use it in the UK since it'd not been type approved. Surely there's a work around for this?

Nice driving and very nicely balanced car. I'd almost go so far as to say he made that look quite easy!
Those that are genuinely good make it look irritatingly easy… irked

The old NSX is such a brilliant brilliant thing that it really makes you wonder what they were thinking wiht the overcomplication of the new one..
The two cars represent different philosophies, don't they.

In a way, complication comes with the territory when one is integrating two different powertrains (ICE and electric) in a single platform. Perhaps we'll see a return to the "less is more" philosophy if / when such a car is solely electric.

I saw one advertised about 3/4 years ago in the UK and it was only c38k from memory. Was sorely tempted but wanted to try something else before my NSX "forever" car - doh.....

The NA2 NSX was officially sold in the UK, so the Type R has type-approval.

Actually they are the same in terms of being a technological showcase. For the original it was the chassis construction and design. For the new one it's the hybrid motors and their implementation.

Maybe not type approval then. confused I can't find details, but there's a reason you can't import one and use it in the UK though. Unless Im confused with the NA1 shaped cars? Anybody know details? Think it's something about no drivers airbag maybe?

There is some reason which I can't remember either. It's not impossible but the cost is astronomical. Honda did it with one. I think it was covered in the Flemke McLaren thread in some detail.

Great. And, highly speculative here, but can we take a guess at what the third iteration will showcase?

Fantastic, he spent most of the video north of 8000 rpm!

The driver is very committed and a sets very fast time for the full lap. Flat through fuchsrohre, no sign of a lift over flugplatz and various other places that I don't quite have the nerve to do with barriers merely a few feet away. The car doesn't look especially fast on the straights but he's carrying a lot of corner speed and is barely on the brakes, it must have had some serious anchors on it!
Yup, not much respect for the rev limiter and Very committed, I wonder how many Honda would sell if they just remanufacturered the same car, it looks and sound sublime.
