This weekend I have mainly been.... well I went out to buy a track day car so I didn't wreck the M. Things escalated quickly.

Now the happy owner of a DFR Engined Arrows that was painted last month for a Ferrari Advertisment in Switzerland. Roll on the summer!

Clearly nose cone is removed for transportation, not damaged, yet....

It fits! Just, there is an inch either side of the rear wheels, and it grounds out on the lip of the door but its in.

Plans, yes it would have been a good idea to lay some plans beforehand. Mainly I just got all excited when it fired up (external starter so will have to train the wife). A couple of private track day invites already this summer and then see where we go from there.

Actually bought a lot more than just the car but more on that later.

M made a surprisingly good tow car..

Not seen one like that before. What's the plan for it?
We have 2 little boys aged 3 and 5. We do a fair bit of camping anyway, figured this will just give us more options, the mrs has always wanted one (and has signed off GT3/Lotus purchase to go with it). There's just something incredibly cool about it.

Oh, and as for this particular one - in all my cars buying years I don't think I've EVER seen a vehicle as clean and mint (relative to its age) as this thing is. There is not a spot of rust, battery cover present and correct, not a speck of dirt anywhere either on top or underneath.

Now, who wants to buy a very rare 1979 Porsche 928 manual, non-sunroof track car? Mocha braun, goes very well, Pilot Sport Cups.. etc. It has to go for lack of space

Looks super clean and so sharp dressed in red with the original steels and a proper quality conversion. I don't often post campervans, but this one just looked right to me.

Look after it!

Now that is a proper toy.

Have you got any time in such things? I imagine there might be a bit of a learning curve!

First track day could be a 50p 5p experience, certainly would be for me.

That is some proper petrolhead work there!

It looks incredible.

Yes its an Arrows 1994 F1 car, with a 510hp Cosworth DFR V8 in it. (only painted to look like a Ferrari temporarily, but seems rude to change it back)

No experience yet, but have a good teacher and an empty track to play with next month. I will spin, he assures me. But start off by doing just one thing at a time, brake, turn, power. And all should be well.
I mean what could possibly go wrong?
It virtually got itself off the trailer!! Amazed at how light these things are, six of us lifted it from this point onwards.

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced insurer for Audi S-stuff? Currently about twice the money of anything else.

It was! Thanks for that where did you find it?

This is the actual car showing a remarkable display of committed cornering, Back in the Day.

It came with a very comprehensive spares package, and this door stop. Handed over at the point where we were discussing the oil pressure alarm on the dash. I think it was a thinly veiled threat from the previous owner not to wreck his pride and joy.

Good luck with it. It would be great to keep the thread posted about how it proceeds and where/when you manage to use it.
