I'm not sure about the XR4i steering wheel

It's a great looking car aside from that hideous detail. Actually it looks a bit like a kit car, reminds me of a Ginetta G32 I once saw. Must be the yellow colour and the Fiesta style interior.

I wonder if any of the hoses have been replaced. If only there was some way of being able to tell.

Drive past this place most days, spotted this looking more than a bit inviting with it's unbadged, small wheeled subtlety and refreshing non-blick interior:

Plan is to install some kind of bike engine running at about 200bhp and use it on track. We shall see
Interesting. Given that two of you can pick the chassis up, what would it potentially weigh with a bike drivetrain? 300kg or less? That would still be a lot of performance!!
That is the thinking, I would guess it will be well under 400kg wet once the engine / drivetrain are installed so should still shift a bit.
Ive got a spare 2/3rds of a Cosworth DFR lump and a six speed sequential box if he fancies them? Disclaimer there is no crank in the Cosworth lump but heads and all auxiliaries rods/pistons etc there.
Aren't the rear shock mounts directly to the gearbox on it though?

Why does Spellcheck on here autocorrect Cosworth to Bosworth!!
I have pointed him to this thread for a look. The car has the box in which has been stripped down and may be made to work. I think your DFR scheme is a better idea IMO.
Ben the chap I bought mine off has put a bike engine in one before, if you PM I can put you in touch with him, he says it can be done but wasn't easy. He has also put just a 2 Litre Vauxhall lump in one running again about 200hp. Happy to help if I can!

I would've thought finding something rigid enough and straight-forward enough to mount onto the tub (possibly with an adapter plate?) would be hard. That, and mating it to the gearbox (or replacing the box and keeping the original pickups!)

Trouble is that anything off the shelf will probably be bigger than the f1 stuff.

£13k for a Cat C E39 M5 is ludicrous regardless of rarity of spec or condition. That's top-end even for an absolutely pristine car isn't it?

That is incredibly appealing. Not sure I would have specified that differently, had I have placed the order from new.

I'd agree, looks in great shape but too dear at £13k.

Out of interest (and my ignorance) what's the difference between a Cat C stolen/recovered and a Cat D stolen/recovered?

More damage basically.
