Yeah, but:

It's missing a wheel centre, and it doesn't share the engine with the M1.

Oh and congratulations on the Mondial.
Thanks - can't wait to pick it up. Although I wish I had more time at the moment!! If all goes well I'll be getting the Integrale back from service/belts/MoT this week, so it'll be next week at the earliest before I pick up the Mondial. It's having a post-purchase inspection done now, too. Fingers crossed there are no horror stories in there...

Here's a vid I just stumbled across showing how versatile the family 4 seater really is.
Awesome - great video. The car is the video is a 3.4t version (like mine) and looks like it handles pretty well, too.
A 'Grale and an 80s Ferrari? What kind of idiot would volunteer for that much grief???!! Next you will be saying your "reliable" car is a TVR...
Or an E34 M5 (with EDC) would complete your collection of bork potential!

(don't listen to us, we're just jealous!)
Ha - funnily enough (and I had to check this), I quoted an E34 M5 on page one of volume XVII of this thread...
Oh yes. I've owned two. I'd own another at a heartbeat.

Sunny weather so took the M3 to work today. At the lights on the A30 an E30 M3 trundled past, looked to be a sport Evo !! Black with the red pin stripe and grey centres on the wheels? Made my morning!

Have seen a rather well loved W124 estate E300TD (non turbo), private sale. Does someone have an HPI check account they wouldn't mind using? It's M125 UBL.

Don't worry - done. Seems clean, well, for 233k miles. And price is £1850.

However owner said they owned it for 1-5 to 2 years, but keeper change documented as Dec 2014. Run away?

Ask them why it says that date? Swapped from his wife to him or something?

Is that the OM606 engine that couldn't pull the skin off a rice-pudding, but will run on pretty much anything from used olive oil upwards?

Hello all.

My daily commute is changing, from 16 miles of A and B roads, to 50 miles of motorway. I'm currently running an Alpina B5, which is by several streets the most competent crusher of cross-country journeys I have ever driven, but when I think about the effect of 100 miles per day on its value, and my petrol budget, I wonder if there is a better solution.

I am leaning towards the A8 / 7 series / S Class / Phaeton group, at a £15k-ish level. Does anyone have comparitive experience of these, or others I should be considering? Is there any realistic difference in operating costs between them?

All help, advice, and general musings welcome. Thanks.

Sounds like it was a SE, but plenty of lookalikes around.
