I was thinking more along these lines...

I'll just add this too.

Aside from the fact that this is by the sea and should've rusted away by now (if mine is anything to go by), I'm quite tempted to swap my 330d for this and run it for another 10 years so I can make an informed decision on the petrol vs diesel debate:

Only took me 18 months in a 330d to make an informed decision on diesel vs petrol - petrol every time. Costs very little more to run and less chance of it exploding in a cloud of DMF/Turbo/Injector/Swirl Flap dust.

Having said good-bye to the C43 family bus a couple of weeks, tomorrow is new car day. bounce

Am quite excited about having something newer (for me), roomier and different to anything I've had before. Offsetting that is feeling a bit dirty about buying a SUV. I guess they're popular for good reason, though, and they don't stand out as much as they used to. The need to seat an adult with 2 kids' seats in the back doesn't leave a lot of choice in any case.

Clearly I'm still going to be wker with two black Porsches. hehe

Oooff...
Anything produced before 1960 is MOT exempt, so no 'ticket' required.

All I really wanted was a RWD one of these. At least the engine seems interesting.

I think the colour plays a huge part tbh! Looks OK in red.

I'd like to think i'd keep my GTA on the road for 5 more years then slide into one of these QV jobbies. From the one video i've seen it sounds grand which is a massive factor for me.

Great family bus, with enough interest for Dad. Which one have you gone for? 982? 978? nope 998... erm, Mk1 or Mk2?

No idea on the model code hehe but 2008 Mk1 facelift, so 4.8 V8 and less archaic sat nav/audio. I thought the best thing to do would be to buy a low spec, low miles V6 so of course I bought a high spec, high miles V8. Air suspension and loads of leather inside, an ex-dealer demo car. A shame it has privacy glass but virtually all of them do.

First impressions are very good. Refined, comfortable, but can pick up its skirts pretty well and goes round corners. smile

I absolutely love it. Shame about the price tag (£82k, or £115k if you want the proper gearbox) - but i reckon you could have quite a bit of fun on a trackway with it!

They are fast things, especially for something so tall. The ride is too harsh and pattery on regular coils, so suspect the ride on air will be far superior.

Those chaps at Singer have done a Targa. Could possibly be my new favourite 911.
