It's something to do with being able to get up from your seat and go "out back" to sort the kids out without stopping.
Yep- cruise control is a marvellous thing.
hehe

I did enjoy my motring to the Alps, cruise set at 80, bare feet (pretty sure it's legal when you're on holiday), eating ice-creams and plain sailing all the way. Lovely. They just need to sort out the service stations and the radio.

And if I drive down on my own again I'm getting a TAG thingamy, althoughI did find out the Mercs electrics are very coffee resistant.

Lovely.

Popped a deposit down yet?

When was the last time one so right popped up? You may not get the chance again.

I'm not big on Schweinefleisch, but that'd do.
Nicely.

Can't think of any motor I'd rather spend 25k on.

Momo wheel in Pork? Might be a standard fit for all I know but in my weird little head Momo = Lancia or old school donkey.

Bit of waste on me wink

If that were a std wheelbase then it would be just about perfect imo, gorgeous colour combo lick

Yes, best colours. Shame about the LPG (and the wheels need swapping).

I would love a properly sorted RR, would be a properly frivolous purchase so would need a very deep wallet but;

Looking like this

And;
Fully restored top to bottom
Uprated suspension & brakes
Reliable and powerful engine
Non visible top of the line stereo system

If I was in the market then I would find it very hard indeed to ignore the new MX5.

Would see me right I reckon.

And I agree with you about the new MX5 - looks a cracker for sensible money to me.

Evo didn't. Thought it was too "middle of the road".

yes I bought Evo at the airport yesterday, and despite a couple of good articles (McLaren 675LT versus 991GT3RS was amazing), I felt a bit "meh" about it. I was a subscriber for years.

Mrs rejn bought me a subscription to Practical Performance Cars which is great. It's all a bit wierd, but I find it a great read. Maybe my tastes have changed, and I'm just more into the kind of stuff they cover: one of the team has put a 27 litre Rolls Royce Merlin (or similar) into a Rover SD1, and is spending months re-plumbing the cylinder head in the hope of releasing an extra 250bhp amongst other things; another story about somebody who bought an old Mk1 Escort, a Sierra and a Mondeo V6 and turned it into a V6 hot rod Escort mk1)
