I think modern exotica is just too good and on today's roads impossible to exploit. Which is why older stuff is gaining in value. You can buy saloon cars now which are way faster than super cars from 15 - 20 years ago. Where will it all end?

Simply look at the 488.

The baby Ferrari.

660bhp. 200+, 3 seconds to 60.

Collosal for the entry level product.

yes absolutely spot on.

It's bonkers that the current entry-level car is 600+, and the new Dino rumoured to be 500+ - just bonkers numbers.

I have such fond memories of my S1 Elise with all of its 118bhp. Back then I aspired to one day having a fire-breathing S1 Exige with all of it's 190bhp... (well actually, i still do, but that'a another story).

It's the first day back at work after a couple of weeks holidays today, so I'm easily distracted.

Talking of 'Eff Cars' there is some sort of 60 car Ferrari parade / family day at Berkhamsted on the 23rd. Starts at 11:30am so I have read and then is at the school on Castle Street.

Also, my sister went to a day at one of the dealerships as she had talked her way into getting offered a test drive in a California and an FF. The driver who took her out before handing over the keys said over the weekend they had sold 'a few' and hardly any of the people doing the test drives were interested in anything other than pootling about.

Also, the launch control on the FF is, so I've been told, hilarious.

Oh and apparently a certain Threadists classic and sport car website has recently been updated and any feedback would be appreciated.

Apparently.

Here's a historic sportscar race at Laguna Seca from a great camera angle. Turn the volume up!

Wow. Mixed feelings about that one. I opened the advert thinking £16k seems a lot for an '85 Spirit, but the sales schpeel is so well written, I finished reading the advert wanting to buy it!

Very nice, all the best with it.
I noticed a Miura in the sold section. Just amazing - did you get to drive it?

Actually at that price point, I think I'd rather put my money here:

Ahaa - i thought i recognised it. Looks like an HK number plate, non? Preumably not an ex-peninsular car despite the colour. I nearly bought an ex-peninsular Spur III (I think) a few years ago. It was lovely. But I was scared by 200k+ miles

That Bentley looks clumsy compared to the elegance of the Rolls.

The orange one? That was my brothers own car, he used it almost daily but I never drove it no. I have driven a Miura and they are as good as you'd hope
