Morning! Sorry for the delayed reply.

Life has kept me away unfortunately! My previous job involved sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day, now I no longer have that privilege (all the better for it to be fair!)

I was indeed into my old metal and banger racing. Down to just the 540, Civic and Mk2 Granada now, the Morris 1100 sold earlier on this year and I haven't been to a banger track in about 12 months! Much more into the idea of racing the old stuff at proper tracks, Gold Cup at Oulton Park is an annual attendance. Nurburgring next year in the barge and possibly a trip to Spa for a Youngtimers meet, or trophy or whatever the guy with the 3.0 CSL at Oulton called it!

As for the pics, this is how she stands now:

Still bits to do, has been laid up for 18 months or so. It's been on thread before, the one my Dad bought as a non running breaker that needed nothing more than a fuel filter. It's about to do the airport run today as I'm off to Prague for the rest of the week and the motorway is where it's happiest!

New Petrolicious video:

http://www.petrolicious.com/the-howmet-tx-rethink-...

"What sounds like a fighter jet and is faster than a Ferrari? Ladies and gentlemen, meet the incredible Howmet TX, an experimental race car that is the only turbine-powered car to actually win a race. Built by a talented team of engineers in 1968 using little time and just $10,000, the first Howmet was very much a moon shot.
Now, with legendary Howmet TX engineer Bob McKee as your guide, watch this sports racer scream around the track like you’ve never heard before. From its complex start procedure to the sound of more than 350 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. of torque pouring out at 65,000 rpm, the TX is a car that had to be wholly engineered from the start as a turbine-powered racer."

It's a little toppy, probably more like £8-8500, depending on what it is really like in the metal.

Seems not too bad - they are well screwed together inside and are very 'planted' in corners compared to the M3/Cosworth
