I spent much of my early career being driven around in early 80s Land Rovers in Germany, usually during the winter. Good God they were grim days.

Rowan Atkinson bought one of these back in the day and it appeared in that really good program he made about his love of cars, c1990 (The Driven Man - see it on YouTube).Seem to remember him writing in CAR - after driving the then new 456 - that the Virage felt like a lorry in comparison.
