today i think i want something like this in my life. very anti-tweed but i've always fancied a slice of mid century americana and this appeals. sorted chassis and a lazy engine, decent a/c and no need to car about people dinging the bodywork. just needs a bench seat and some D rings in the load bed. wouldn't work in the uk but think i could pull it off here.

talking of Range Rovers (as we were a while ago), I just spotted this Overfinch 5.7 on eBay for £13k.
I have no idea if it's a genuine one, but in today's frothy markets, it seems like a sensible price?
Shame I'm not in the market for one right now, as I'd imagine they don't come up that often...

It's been coming and going for a while now, but does seem a good price, especially if the engine only has 1,000 miles on it!
I would "imagine" that's it's genuine. If not, someone has put a lot of work into it - Overfinch seats, dials, steering wheel, grill badges are very hard to come by. Even if it's not genuine it looks a tidy thing in it's own right.

I had a this for a while :
The main problem is, it is stuffed with bespoke parts, and as they get older they get more normal as you have to replace the broken stuff with something.
My engine was a problem too, so I guess the owner of this decided it was cheaper to put a new one in. Also looking at the pictures the original suspension has gone too, it originally came off a Rover SD1...
Trouble, but funny.
