oh yes.

There is so much that is compelling about it: the name "911R" has the ring of a 1960s special; the fact that it is so much less shouty than a GT3 - no spoilers or graphics, just lovely arch-filling wheels; and I assume that it would be dynamically excellent.

I'd love one.

Especially for £100k.

I might have to sell my wife. Anyone want good condition Brunette? Low miles; always serviced on time etc...

Best bit is surely the fact that it'll be around 100kg lighter and have a MANUAL GEARBOX!!!!!

If it looks like that and you can spec it with PDK, I'll buy one.

They can poke it then - looks rubbish anyway. Bet it doesn't even have cupholders.

Maybe they'll offer the Lotus ones, which will match the interior door pulls?

That had so much potential for being an 'affordable' drivers 911.

ALso for those unaware GW tickets are on sale.

Less, really. I'd prefer a 997 GTS over a 991, but then there's little point swapping a C2S for a GTS.

Porsche have just lost the plot haven't they, in terms of being anything vaguely to do with the "enthusiast" market. Shame because without "us" they would have gone bust some time in the mid 1990s, but now everything is geared towards the oligarchs.

Could you bear the lack of leather on the dash and doors? wink

My ideal minimum garage would have 3 cars. Family car, fast fun car that can do track days, and old fun car that you can pile a few friends into.

:wishful thinking: With a bit of luck VW's tribulations will cause Porsche to require a quick seller and release a boggo stripped out, fabric upholstered 'base' model...:/wishful thinking:

Porsche have it all worked out and are doing a great job.
This will maintain a strong demand for the older cars, where we can enjoy our wind up windows, lack of carpet and headlining, constantly changing our shortened gear ratios! smile

The obvious solution is a 991 GT3 with all the comfort options. Then you have a perfectly usable daily that also happens to be supermegawickedawesome when you go for a hoon.

Oops, almost bought a blue 90 pick up. I didn't realise the link would open in the app on my phone and trying to close the window by touching the bottom of the screen (had it been in safari) saw me press the 'buy it now' and almost tap the commit to buy!!
