But for me generally, the more extreme the car, then the more subtle the colour.

The colour scheme just reminded me - didn't you buy this on Halloween? biggrin Is that 2 years ago now?

Was it really two years ago we were at Goodwood for that Lotus day? Supposed it must be

The seats were lovely in them

Getting the right parts at the dealer for one, even in the late 80s, wasn't so easy

Blimey. Suppose if you want the best, and have the means, then why not.

The Capris made good money too. Criminally undervalued in my humble opinion.

What is the logic behind that purchase? None. None at all.
They were not even that good when they were launched. Given that a 1.5 diesel hatchback has more power and torque, it's a rich man's folly.
Surely you cannot think the value will go up even further? What's the chance of finding someone willing to spend more than that on a f**king Ford Escort?
Maybe a Ford Mexico driven by a Flying Finn or Swede with Rally pedigree but a run of the mill road car?

Insanity.

How much do diamonds cost? They are valuable for no logical reason other than they are scarce. Same here.

I don't know about that... a 2.2S was the top of the range when it was new, had an engine that revved happily to 7,000rpm and was basically handbuilt. The Escort was never that good even when it was brand new, and was only ever a parts-bin warmed-over take on one of the most common cars ever made at the time.

They look great, largely because of those awesome wheels and twin fogs!

Some cool stuff here here. I want this marmite Jensen, I even like the colour!

I sold one of those Jensens last year, it was actually a pretty good drive and the chassis was much better than I expected.
