Thanks, that good to hear. I didn't get to view any at the weekend unfortunately, but spent some time checking out adverts, and I'm now contemplating a V10 Touareg also - anything with a V10 is good right?
Prompted by the black one on the barge thread per chance? hehe
Black yes, but not that particular one. A little above the barge price range

Wouldn't hold anyway near the same appeal as the coupe for me. Lack of power, and power bulge, in comparison always meant the values were lower, but I'm not sure what the Vantage Zagatos are currently trading at

Gents,

Couple of months ago I consulted the deep thinkers hers and concluded that putting £80k into a 997GT3 would be fun.

That's still a possibility, but had my head turned by a mate's V8V, and then it occurred that a V12V can be had for similar cash to the GT3, and somehow feel a bit more "special".

510hp, rwd, manual ticks a lot of boxes.

Thoughts?

When I was younger I really didn't like old escorts, but I'm starting to warm to them now, but that one looks great - I think it's the first one that i've thought I wouldn't mind owning. Did they come with 2.0 engines back in the day, or has that one had an engine from something bigger shoehorned into it.

Talking of snow, though, I'm hoping for some this year to let the Integrale stretch its winter legs a bit!

As a Mexico rep, to be truly authentic it would need a 1.6 Pinto. Mk2 Escorts certainly came factory fitted with 2 litre Pintos though ( as did the Mk1 ).

If it does have 140bhp it will be reasonably quick as well, certainly fun enough in the snow

thumbup Nice! If I was in the market for a cheap 911 (if there is such a thing), then that would definitely float my boat. (I'd want to change the colour of the wheels, though).

I've seen a few older 911s with that style of porsche script down the side and I like it.

Listing is a little light on history details, other than the two recommissionings, and no pictures of the Oxblood leather............
