Bonhams ought to be sued for the complete nonsense in parts of that advert as well as the dodgy Ferrari they sold recently.

Utter perfection, attention to detail is just fantastic.....right down to the OKV registration number.

The devil's in the detail. Nice touch.

Very conservative estimate, surely?

I'm trying to think, has anyone ever produced a more resolved aftermarket conversion than the Eventer?

Respectfully, no.

Looks added on. And the rear quarterlight looks homemade. Radford or one of the Swiss jobbies?

Although perhaps not as rakish as the XJS or Aston but I always thought the Wendler Bentley looked rather 'factory'

I always wanted one of these....

"Like putting a baseball cap on The Queen Mother...." was how Performance Car magazine described the original roadtest (Gawd knows why I always remember that quote!)

the eventer pulls the trick of making a resolved car out of the the rather awkward backend of the xjs. i know those butresses get a lot of love but they're not for me. the standard xjs looks like a car from the 70s, the eventer is a lot more timeless

however the eventer still looks aftermarket, particularly the hatch on its external hinges.loon's pic looks better.

even though the cost to build must have been obscene, the absolute best conversion has to be the ferrari 456gt venice. the craftmanship superb and the hatch treatment is just perfect. not to mention the feat of adding rear doors! however its best achievement has to be making a resolved, great looking gt car, into an equally resolved proto-uber-barge

I read that CAR article whilst lay across the back seat of mother's brand spanking new, sickly sweet smelling white 1.9 GTi, on the way to our faraway holiday destination to "run the new car in".

Seem to remember eventually being told to STFU after gabbling on too much about how the new family transport was indeed better than an Esprit.
