Jesus, how expensive are OEM alloy wheels? Buying a Zafira (necessity, rather than a masochistic love of big boring Vauxhalls) and it's got some rather, well, messed up wheels. Still functional, just ugly as all hell. Something I want to sort out, but not a total dealbreaker for purchase.

Looked on ebay for the same wheels and they'd be more than half the cost of the car.

Dropping diameter an inch saves me about £900 on a set of 4 though, hmm...

Why not just have them refurbed?

I'll get a quote done on that, but if it costs about the same as going to lower diameter wheels I might as well go for those, and get the benefit of slightly cheaper tyres and nicer ride.

It would need to have some suspension for it to fail.

I liked the Golf. Until I saw that interior.

Fulvias are such pretty little things and sound fantastic.

Happy New Year Threadista!

Today also marks 21 years since this was first registered. What a new year the first owner must have had. This years automotive resolution will be to get her back on the road.
Jesus min! I can't believe you've still got it! What's the repair bill to get it running again?

Hope you're well ol' bean.

All is well thanks. Life has been getting the way of automotive pursuits the past couple years but all in a good way.

Stuck a set of winters on your old throwing stars and ran Das Boot through 3 or 4 winters. Oversteer-tastic & great fun watching the bemused looks on all the Range Rover drivers faces. Took it's toll though so now she needs a sill & all the EDC pipework going through, couple of grands worth just not had the time to tinker with her yet. Will probably end up selling the Caterham & keeping the 5 as the fun car.

You still in Dubai? Still busy with Oilfield work? Things pretty grim in the Deen these days but touch wood I'm kept busy enough.

Give me a shout next time you're about. Must catch up for a beerthumbup

Still in the sandpit, yes. Things are a bit shaky here too. Not even this lot can make profit at the current level.

I'll give you a holler when I'm next in town thumbup

It's probably been discussed, but it can't hurt t look at it again.

If my numbers had come up, I'd have bought most of these guy's stock.
