Oooh I say! That is very pretty!!

Well done sir. Is something else going to make space or does your gradual acquisition of every rentable garage in the home counties continue proudly onwards?

Errrrm no, nothing is going at the moment (until either you or joesnow buy my RS4 wink). It just wouldn't be PH to actually get rid of cars. hehe

So yes, I'm enhancing my rented portfolio. Again. redface

No actively marketing, but if I were to receive a suitable offer I'd sell.

It's not going to be cheap, mind. smile

cloud9 very nice indeed. One owner very low mileage one. Very nice indeed. Good colour, too.

I've been having these exact same thoughts. I think 2016 will be the year I finally do the RS4 thing.
After many years of Munich-mobiles, 2015 was the year I finally went RS4. However I opted for a B5, even knowing that in nearly all subjective areas a B7 is probably a better car. But even still, I love the thing
I definitely want to try a B5 before making a decision. In some respects, the older car really appeals.

How are you getting on with it?
Well for me it's a bit more "old school" Audi in its make-up (turbo, quattro, etc.), and I suppose on paper it's so easy to write-off for being a bit of an understeery old barge. But the character just shines through for me, and for a bit of A-road motoring it's absolutely perfect IMO. No-one seems to pay it too much attention either which I love. Run down the Autobahn is on the list for it in the near future! smile

One thing to note is that these have been criticised for the ride quality, but I gave it a suspension refresh and I find it perfectly acceptable. Probably more comfortable than a 335d I once had, although maybe that's not saying too much wink

I'm over the water otherwise I'd give you a spin in it, but I'd say definitely try one out first to see what you think. I really enjoyed my BMWs, and think the E34 M5 one of the greatest cars ever built, but I really don't miss them as much as I had feared since I have this to tool around in

JC, just sell the Seven to me and relieve those Rightmove stresses smile Elan looks top.

Talking of renting, I was looking on here the other day and spotted this.

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

I know Sevens hold the value, and Loon might be able to attest as to how a CSR drives compared to an "ordinary" Caterham (most hacks seem to love them), but 4 or so grand a year doesn't sound too unreasonable for probably one of the fastest things on the road. Now if the accountant could do something with the VAT scratchchin

Would a £47k CSR be worth £30k in 4 years with 40k miles? Maybe, but I doubt it.

Funnily enough that's the one I've got my eye on. But initial research has told me nothing except that there are good ones and bad ones and you don't want a bad one... There doesn't seem to be a huge amount about them on the forums.

Love that colour scheme... but should it be black or very dark maroon?

hehe I was pleasantly surprised at how low you sit in it, and the degree of room inside it afforded even me. smile It did take a little while to work out how to move the seat back - it is unlikely to have been moved much having had the one owner for 44 years. nuts

That's the benefit of old school y'see: none of these fangled electric, heated, massaging seats that need to be accommodated. nono Chapman's simplification with added lightness. smile

I'm not really a fan of the Conti GT, but I do quite like the look of that one

Although, at the risk of being asked to leave this thread, I'd also quite fancy a yellow Continental T boxedin

That's why I work with my hands not my head.

Probably halves the monthlies towards Fiesta levels over the period of that car. Blimey.
