Fairy nuff. It just looks big. And it was noticeably longer than my 1 series, much longer than the Defender, and is rather more bloaty than I think a 911 should be. All just IMHO obvs.
I think you're right though, they do look big(ger). Maybe it's just the design of the thing? They're certainly more shapely than before plus they run huge wheels now, more space in the cabin etc.

I just can't imagine me noticing 2" extra width from the driving seat.

Two cylinders too few, shirley?
But it's Spanish, which I think compensates somewhat.....

Two tonnes?

Yup! a certain Northerner erstwhile of this parish was last seen dissolving into his constituent elements after viewing this.....
I don't believe you.

He'd never be happy with only 193mph. winkhehe
Being that the figures are Alpinas own, my guess is that they're a little on the conservative side....

According to wiki, it's under 3" longer and 4" wider than the 997.

I don't think it's that BIG smile
Are those figures correct? That makes it massively bigger in my book!

964s look ridiculously small when next to 997s/991s.

It appears to be the going rate.... whilst not the most superior in the dynamic field for their era they probably won in the power stakes and arguably walked it in the style ratings.

Being a fan of the shape I have long since missed the chance to own one so might one day make some kind of homage....

Oooo I agree a very nice combination, my preference would be a facelift in Oxford Green with Caramel and Tree!

Just checked to MOT history and it looks like the rot has set into the sills.... Hmmmm

this looks thumbup. Good to see one with coal hole black leather (in my eyes at least).
Is £14k the going rate? Every so often I remind myself of them. Not sure when I'd use it but I think it's a handsome thing.

This will be of relatively little interest to most, but as I was in Hatfield OPC yesterday I was perusing their "Classic" section. Amongst a lovely old 911 was a stand of retrofits, of which one was a single DIN head unit that seemed to be the equivalent of PCM3.

Looks like this:

And worked really well. Suspect it'd be cheaper to buy a 964RS, but will ask when I'm next there. Given it fits anything, I'm a bit tempted for the M5.
Any more info?

I love the look of that.

Looking around there are a few at dealers up at £15.5 - 16K, they are 2.5 engined cars, so I guess that is the going rate, or the asking at least. The last time I really looked at them a minter had an asking price of £8K but that was a few years ago.
