On an unrelated note;
A good friend of mine has just completed his book which is a witty and fascinating history of the various cars he has owned over the years, will be a great read and the profits go to a charity that I have long supported too (Little Havens Childrens Hospice)

Question.
Budget 4kish.
Needs to be compact.
Auto (Sorry J)
Room, occasionally, for 4
Not a hatch.
Nice place to sit.
At least nippy.
I struggle to get past a MK1 TT 3.2
Have you actually tried to sit in the back of a TT? basically unless you're a double amputee of smaller than Loon (sorry Ben) you'll never get 4 in it....Budget 4kish.

Never sampled Pork ownership. GT4 was interesting but no chance of getting on the list.
This is a real tempter, though I would to part with a couple of internal organs to fund it.
Y'see, I like the concept (spanish, nasp, focussed chassis, weight redux etc.). But the reality is that this is a post-halo, uber-walletgrab by Porsche. Which is fair enough given it exists (like all companies) to make money for its owners / investors. Even if the car is AMAZING, it patently takes the pesh on so many levels as to almost transcend irony (and I say this not just because I wasn't blessed with the smarts, work-ethic, luck and/or ruthlessness to acquire sufficient fiscal means to obtain one). Porsche proves once again its long-honed mastery in evolving and refining a concept to the point where such models are almost seen as benevolent favour rather than desirable-if-artificially-spendy trinkets. I mean it's clearly made of pure unobtainium for mortals. This is a real tempter, though I would to part with a couple of internal organs to fund it.
I actually gave serious consideration to a GT4 and I'd have had to sell multiple body parts, live in it *and* risk a slow and painful death by the gnarled implements of unspecified-but-less-than-reputable lending sources in order to have managed list price. And we all know what happened there.
So this just seems like Porsche AG having a bit of a laugh. All the way to Commerzbank.
Anyway, on topic - that 328 and the 993 please. No need to wrap them.
I don't blame you. It still makes my imaginary swiss bank account twitch. A lot.
But its depressing as well. We're beyond help and we know it.
Had I the cash, it's quite possible (nay, probable) that I too might be fighting for the right to be relieved of said cash (albeit whilst relieving some salivating dealer principal of his alimony payment burden).

It's bigger than the back of a 996/997, though.
TT rear seats are an utter pist take.

Is the Mk2 TT a lot roomier than the Mk1? I've been one of 4 adults in the former - cramped but possible.
