The Best ///M/Barge/General Rant/Look at this/O/T (Vol XVII)
Discussion
Bentley Continental R (almost bought one recently but decided I'd wait 10 years, until I'm 49 rather than 39)
Merc CL600 (transport whole family at supercar speeds)
Porsche GT3 (any kind, doesn't really matter which)
1959 MGA (THE classic bargain at the moment)
Porsche 356 (the itch that must be scratched)
I'm very lucky in that I already have my one true love, a manual 928, and a few other nice things.

The Almandine Black CL55 is too high miles, plus needs wheels and tyres.
The blue CL500 is lovely.. what a bargain if the history checks out and everything works. These big Merc W215 coops, surely the best-resolved design since the W126 and possibly even nicer than that, must be one of the bargains of the moment?
I'll take mine in CL600 non-AMG bi-turbo spec in Almandine Black please. I actually test-drove one a couple of years ago that was up for £6k, would have bought it if I'd realised at the time I have one of the leading Merc specialists on my doorstep.

Not sure where some of this info has come from but some is inaccurate, they have 46mm throttles and a standard non kat m3 2.3 exhaust manifold with 50mm primary and 50mm secondary pipes Sport Evos have 50mm primary and 55mm secondary pipes and 48mm throttle bodies.
The information is based on the car that I had and my vernier calipersMy attainable (not just yet) list;
Another Caterham
Tweaked Midget/Sprite (Sebring or Lenham type)
Aprilia RS250 MK1
Austin 7 Ulster rep
106 Rallye
Range Rover Classic with the best and most subtle stereo system money allows
Integrale 16v (pre evo)
Alfa 33 Cloverleaf
CL55 AMG
Plus many more but that'll do for tonight

This week I have been mostly dreaming about :
Frogeye Sprite (lightly modified)
BMW 635csi (maybe E46 M3 engine swap and some gold BBS single nut wheels and hubs)
My old Seal grey 996 GT3 mk.II
1950's Bentley R type
E60 M5 touring
Sadly none will be arriving anytime soon

A '50s R type (esp in continental flavour) would be awesome.
