In other news, I'm trying to decide between an R1 and a GSXR 1000.
Any thoughts?
Yes, buy one of them.Any thoughts?
The whole point of bikes other than being a bit visceral and good short-cutting in traffic is that you can rack them up - I'd guess 6-8 in a single garage? No excuses then!

My personal theory was that the bike was always going to be 100 times more capable than the rider, so I went for the prettiest sparkly blue, white and black one.Any thoughts?
Admittedly I'm probably not the one to ask- I quite fancy a Buell next.

Yeah, tough one that. One the one hand you've got a snorting death machine that, left to its own devices, will simply fall over. On the other hand you've got a snorting death machine that, without intervention, will simply fall over.Any thoughts?
I'd suggest the R1 for the same reason I bought an M5 - it takes less time to say when you're

Never ride pillion. Never.
Back way back when the bikes to have were two stroke and Suzuki's had a banana swing arm a friend took me down to Heston via Chelsea Bridge in a large throng of noise. He demonstrated on the motorway that he could scrape the expansion chambers in succession whilst changing lanes.
I seem to remember being somewhat concerned after the event when I saw how the pillion seat pad was secured on the KR-1

have you discovered GPH yet?Any thoughts?

2 wheeled crowd far outnumber the 4's on there.
a properly prepped track bike will set you back around 25k [dirhams]. maybe try hiring/borrowing something for a trackday before committing. yas trackdays are few and far between which means you'll be spending most of your time at the autodrome which is classed as 'semi wet' due to the lack of greenery meaning the track is always sandy. a litre bike wouldn't be my first choice with that in mind.
i'm back from my african misadventure next week and not going anywhere for the rest of the year. gimme a shout if you're up my way.
