And then yesterday I dusted off the Alfa yet again and this time for a trip to Brands Hatch for the Masters Festival and again met a certain family member with their Sant'agata black beastie;

Ah that pic of brands must have been just seconds after i left, as mine was the MX5 parked next the Diablo and in front of the Alfa!

Spooky, yes you were just getting in your MX5 as we were putting our things back in the car. Small world!

Small world indeed! Is it the same Alfa that is often at Castle Combe at brands with marshalls/racing stickers in the back window? As i seem to see it around a lot!

Different one but I have seen that one at Brands a few times too. Our one has been sitting in the barn for the last 8 years and has only been back on the road for a few weeks now.

Alfa looks lovely and I really like the wheels, you don't see enough red cars on the road these days I think. Is the black Diablo an SE30 ?
Thanks chap, the wheels are Speedlines from a slightly later 33 but we have the originals (TRX) in the barn still.

Brother's Diablo is indeed an SE30 and can be seen in this Jamiroquai video for 'Alright'....

Is it the actual same car which features in the intro of Jamiroquai 'Travelling without moving ' going up through the gears ? I've listened to that many many times cloud9

It's about 50% of what the asking price may be expected to be.

Clearly nothing wrong with it.

Even if you need to chuck £10,000 to mechanically rebuild it and sort the body it's good value

Brightwells Auction

A combination of rocks and gems.

Also if that CS isn't a con I'm with CD on at least it being worth a good look with a necessary refresh in mind.

Bright red XJR is awesome. I've just repainted mine though so I'll just smoke about in that biggrin
