I think he was just pointing out the incorrect spelling of licence (noun).

No, I disagree with that. Where's the evidence?
My genius level IQ backed up by my eyes!
And yet in incidents between cars and cyclists the car is found at fault 70% of the time and cyclist 20%. Kind of suggests you are seeing what you want to.

When we have stupid legislative proposals suggesting that in any collision between a cyclist and a motorised vehicle the motorised vehicle will alway be considered at fault I think I know what you can do with your 70%!

Have to admit I don't believe you. You're too anti bike to even consider the other side.

Pic of you on your bike then at your leisure. And how far is your commute?

I cycle for exercise around the Manchester area, but I don't care whether you believe me or not..

Until I started driving in London I was fairly neutral about cyclists. Now I see a sizeable proportion of them riding like ****s and yet it's like no one is prepared to call them out. It's like a culture of fear... suggesting they ever do anything wrong is seen as bad form. I have no idea whether those that died did so as a result of their actions or someone else's and the trouble is in many cases nor does anyone else, but the drivers of motorised vehicles are held up as 'the enemy' by many in the cycling fraternity despite the fact that every time I drive in London I see lots of cyclists behaving like utter morons and yes proportionally more than I see in cars, vans etc. So I am not anti bike, but I am anti cycling moron and in London there's plenty to be anti about.

Not really any worse than Manchester bar the impatience at times which given how the roads are set up is no surprise. That said I am used to driving in Asia and compared to certain places there anywhere in the UK is positively wonderful in comparison. I often laugh at these cyclists complaining about a lack of room in the UK and think how they would go on in Jakarta for instance.... they'd last about 5 minutes before they were sobbing their poor sensitive little hearts out lol!

Not really no
What you do notice in London is that if someone wants to pull out into traffic if they just do it and get on with it, then you just let them them get on with it ans you know you may want someone to let you out further along. It's a system of continuous merge in turn.
In other places you could wait for hours to pull out, and if you try it on, someone would prefer to have a collision than let you out.
In some ways London is a lot more tolerant.

I drive in London 3 days a week and much prefer the unspoken rule of "continuous merge in turn" - a lot more tolerance of other drivers and less "my right of way so I MUST go first".

I wonder why the same courtesy doesn't extend to cyclists? Possibly because cyclists expect tolerance but don't often offer it to drivers? Not much give and take. Thinking about it, don't a some drivers have a less tolerant approach to Taxi drivers too for the same reason? Happily let another car out/merge late, but not a Taxi.

So you have, but you think it's fine because that's how you drive? My experience is that London drivers have zero tolerance of anything and the only reason people get "let out" is because they are going anyway. This means that busses do what the fk they want and cars totaly ignore cyclists, as cyclists can't pull the "I'm going. I dare you to hit me" game of chicken that is standard practice driving in London.

I have a grip on reality, the problem is people are idiots, the type of vehicle doesn't make a difference...

Are you sure? https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-ins...

License might be how most of the English speaking world spells it, even if we don't.

1. They're not so stupid. Whilst it doesn't happen in the way you describe, where it does operate, strict liability has made life much safer for all road users.

2. So you're just not into facts then?

Noun = licence, verb = license - fact so get over it.

Great so any driver of a motorised vehicle drives around in fear while cyclists can continue to cycle like ****s... brilliant idea. While we're at it why don't we just class every man as a rapist as that will make the streets much safer too??? Same logic, not that you'd be able to grasp that with the blinkers strapped to your head.

Not crying, just getting fed up with some of them... the ones that cycle like **** s and then play the 'oh poor me card' when a car comes within a metre of them. They need a dose of reality or a cycling holiday in Indonesia to toughen them up a bit... in fact the thought of that actually makes me laugh!

And you honestly can't see how *you're* lumping all users of a particular type of vehicle in together?
