RE: Hellcat vs Tesla: Time For Tea?
Discussion
My 2 cents on this
1) forget drag strip antics. The real test is two cars side by side at the lights with the lanes merging 100 yards after the lights into single carriageway for the next 2 miles. Would you want to be in a Tesla (with single pedal, no launch control, no 1st to 2nd shift) or something like a semi auto that needed a few button presses to get ready, sitting like a knob for 10 seconds revving at 4,500 rpm or a manual in the hope you can drop the clutch correctly and get the revs up when the lights go green.
2) get both of these cars on a drag strip with say 2 profesional drag racers and 8 average joes some which drive perfornance cars and some family hatches. Then see what difference the car and driver makes. My guess in the pro race the petrol will win. In all other race combinations the Tesla.
