Definitely on my shortlist for a future purchase. A lot depends on the noise from the exhaust. It needs to sound brutal, loud and be able to set off nearby car alarms when parking.

Does any have links to videos of the exhaust sound?
Anyone that buys one of these and doesn't fit this to it needs a slap:

Anyone guesstimate possible lease deals on these based on other cars of the same price?

I think it's difficult to call (even for Ford) because it's very hard to know what the residuals will be like.

Also I doubt Ford will be giving any support on them for a while.

Be amazed if any good lease deals at all they will be a big waiting list anyway on sales alone and they are competitively priced as it is so doubt they will be needing to add any support to get them sold...

What he said.

I remember when I bought my Focus ST (previous car) around a year after they first appeared. There were no lease deals available then at all (I asked). There were two options Regular finance and cash. But then a 6 month old one on the four court was only £500 less than a new one at that time.

I think the BIK for company cars will be horrendous on either model so I can see sales reps sticking to diesels and hybrids (sorry to bring such dirty words to a Mustang thread).

I was amazed that they still left the line lock feature in over here. I would have thought the nanny state would put the kybosh on that. I'm looking forward to bonfiring my rear tyres outside my neighbour's housesmile

In the american review I think he said there were rumours about it voiding warranty if used. Not sure if true or if it would apply over here but it wouldn't surprise me if i'm honest.

Picador Southampton has the new VXR8 GTS, until the other day I believe they had them with a sticker price of around 50k. Now the sticker price is POA... (MRRP 54 and 56k):
http://www.picadorplc.co.uk/new-cars/vauxhall/vxr8

I'd imagine that the Mustang will be pulling the established pricing hierarchy out of shape somewhat, is there any particular reason why the V8 Vauxhall should be a lot more than the V8 Ford? Ok, more powerful and four doors, but nowhere near as iconic.

Interesting times!
Just saw this. The 576bhp supercharged V8 Vauxhall... I reckon the 500BHP Mustang will be up around 50k.

Try to spec up a VXR8, you can't change anything apart from the colour (free), transmission (£1.5k) and sunroof (£1.5k). The full Enhanced Driver Interface allows you to monitor practically everything about the running of the car. You can also log the data onto a USB for track days. The MRC allows for you to have both nice and soft suspension for normal use up to nice firm suspension in race mode. Bimodal exhaust keeps it nice and quiet at low speed, opening it up when you boot it. The HUD is so good to have, and I very rarely need to look down at the speedo.

Just a few things that help to justify the price of the GTS against that of the Ford.

Might totally chav up the drive and get one of these to go along side the GTS hehe

I dont think there will be legions of new Mustangs smoking their tyres at traffic lights, 275 40 R19's are at least £150 each, probably nearer 200 quid for the correct ones, never mind the 20 inch ones, plus I am sure 435 bhp and 400 lbs/ft will not exactly give them an easy time in the first place.

As posted on the other Mustang thread:

I ordered mine Tuesday, 5.0 V8 Fastback: Absolute Black, Black Leather and all 3 extras ticked. Due Last quarter 2015 which should be perfect timing on returning my M3 to BMW lease. Didn't want the custom pack as I don't want chrome window surrounds.

Just over £35,000 and comes with loads of toys.

Never been a fan of American Muscle cars but apparently they have sorted out the suspension etc.

Was thinking roll around in it for a year if I don't like it sell it for hopefully no too much of a loss.

Will look at aftermarket exhaust to keep my neighbours entertained!! This will sounds loads better than my V8 witch has the OEM Exhaust Mod. Really looking forward to it and hope they are not going to run too late on production.

If anyone wants the PDF training pack doc for UK salesman PM me and I will email over.

Will be really interested to see your opinions of the Mustang vs the M3, isnt that two PH'ers now that have ordered one ?

I cant imagine you will lose money if you run it for a while and decide to change.

Just a call from the dealer saying Ford US have confirmed my order and will be contacting me "to welcome me to the Mustang family!" It feels real now! My M3 will handle better but I think for the money and tunning/modding potential this could be a keeper.

Wait, what? Why? How bizarre - what on earth is the rationale for that? Wonder what they do to the motor to make it generate less power and can it be reversed?

mmm, looks great overall, but I really don't like the multi-spoke wheels (either silver or black), I thought there would be more choices frown

Given how much the classics sell for the in the states I wonder if its worth buying one and sticking it in storage for 40 years!
