Good on Ford for making it RHD and giving it a such an attractive starting price.

If I was in the market for a Coupe, this would be top of my list. It will make a nice change seeing these on the road as opposed to countless generic BMWs.

Just googled it and the last 2.8 Capris were 12k in 1986 so just under 32k now - almost spot on, though a touch more bang for your buck now!

I don't think the Mustang ever was a 'Muscle Car' in the true sense of the expression

Just such amazing value. Especially when you consider they would theoretically be even cheaper if not having to be imported, plus all the kit you get. Would love a second-hand V8 in a few years time, especially if petrol prices continue to tumble smile Wish I was in a position to "need" a new one!

Secondhand values of LHD import Mustangs, especially those with the V8, have been v strong. Can only imagine this will kick the arse out of that market.

An Audi A5 is not cool. A similar 4-Series is also not cool. This Mustang is cooler than king emperor penguin testicles. cool

At these prices I am tempted to buy one, run it for six months or so then sell on. What combination do people think would depreciate the least I'm thinking V8 manual in blue with the custom pack. Any opinions gratefully received.

V8, logitudinaly mounted, manual gearbox, depreciation, RWD, hatchback prices, narrow roads with ditches.

If you listen carefully you can hear the scrathings of kit car designers just waiting for the write offs to become available. This is a good thing smile

Yes!

Looks good, looks perfect for the UK in Ecoboost form (will never be as cool as the V8 but seems a much better proposition for the day to day.)

Hmmm, I'm going to be carless this summer and we're looking at new cars for Autumn, gives me a while to talk my other half around. smile

Looks great, sounds terrific and goes sideways everywhere. For this sort of money, what's not to love?

^^ Completely agree about Ecoboost for the UK market...The V8 realistically is going to cost a fortune to run in fuel costs alone, even with prices at the pump tumbling. V8 noise aside, the Ecoboost makes complete sense in terms of performance and emissions, and it's only a matter of time before the big tuning companies are shouting about +50hp and +60-80nm for a few hundred of your hard earned £'s. Watch this space.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. They had better not reserve that for the States alone. Imagine a 600+ hp GT500 for under £50k...

That's quite excellent value, to be honest. It makes the price of that BMW 420i seem hilarious. rofl I would imagine life just got even harder for the GT86 and BRZ too... eek

Are these RHD examples being built in the US of A alongside the LHD cars?

You would have to be a monumental bellend to buy the ecoboost over the V8!
