That's interesting. The seat facings in the pictures above look cream / tan, whereas Ceramic on the UK configurator look Grey / silver to me.

ETA - Top info from croyde! Just Googled to check out the Ceramic Leather ;

That config picture is terrible. I'm almost sure I'm gonna try to change mine to Ceramic. Orange car, black 19s and cream/black leather. Might as well go a bit over the top biggrin

Picture taken from the UK brochure - RHD and 'Custom Pack' silver wheels. IMO it looks very 'European GT' and very Aston in places, particularly the side glass.

Can't find many in deapth reviews. Not great braking and g force handling scores from one source.

This is all I could find

Top speed (governor limited): 164 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 175 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.83 g

As usual it's not straightforward to find comprehensive data, is it.

Reviews by Motor Trend and by Road & Track rate the 2015 Mustang GT with premium / performance package much higher on the skidpad (0.96 and 0.95 respectively).

Also, their 60-0mph stopping times of 114 feet and 107 feet, respectively, look better than a 70-0mph time of 175 feet (probably from the review by Car & Driver magazine <-- scroll down to the blue text that says "Instrumented Test").

The review notes from Autoweek are less about data and more about first-person observations. Plus, they have some cool photos. Love the a*** shot!

How do you mean exactly?

Are you talking about the Us domestic market tail lights?

Are sequential tail lights going to be carrief over to the UK model?

Ok I just saw the white tail lights, really ugly.

The 2015 mustang has much more room than a 911. I drove one with 4 people, the only complaint is the rear passenger headroom for tall people.

Regarding autos, most people that option autos are on the v6's. If you ordered one I think you will be very happy. Theres nothing like a v8 mustang, next thing you know you'll be listening to country and eating ranch with chips.

You'll find official Ford US OEM parts at the following site:

As an example, below is the page for a right-rear tail light -- in red -- for the US cars.

Part number 13404 - Tail light assembly

Sadly, the quoted USD price is the equivalent of approximately £635! And this is just the right side. You need two tail lights after all.

Maybe it's expensive to produce and stock an LED unit. More likely, Ford can afford to gouge.

Is this US tail light assembly plug-and-play? By that, I mean: Does it simply plug in and function sequentially as in the US? Or must one replace or modify wiring and/or the sending unit? I dunno.

If you wait a bit, an aftermarket company may provide a turnkey solution for UK-to-US adaptation. Alternatively, maybe it's easier simply to tint the UK assembly.

Others may not agree, but I don't believe that the UK-spec white tail lights look bad. Especially with a darker car.

That price doesn't suprise me. My 2013 led lights are really expensive to buy. You can find it cheaper in other ford oem parts sites and off salvage cars on ebay. Also check out americanmuscle and latemodel resto for aftermarket lights.

Ive had to take mine off and there really is nothing to them so I dont know where the cost is.

Very enjoyable. I've seen loads of reviews by owners in the States but what gets me is that they are all in their 20s biggrin

lol. smile And the pricing for base model cars reflects this youth as well.

Camaro, Challenger and Mustang are available in their domestic market at the all-important $25,000 price point (£16,400). These base model cars do not feature the top performance kit, but they are accessible.

I'm aware that this is not news here on PH, but it's interesting to mention as a corollary to your comment about youth.

Also... The slight Southern accent of that guy in the video tells us that he's probably in a lower-cost region of the US. Housing, gasoline and on-the-road costs will be much lower there than in selfie-conscious postal codes like 90210.

My point of view: if that video guy and you would meet for a pint, he'd consider it a privilege. Who else glides about the storied, teeming and sometimes impossible city of London in a panther-platform V8?

And then there's much to be gained in a discussion about handling (the Yanks tend to focus on road-holding; the Brits understand that it's also about what happens when road-holding becomes tenuous). But that's a topic for another day!

Access to v8 muscle cars here in the U.S. is like a hot hatch in the U.K.

The initial cost of the car is the most expensive part, a lot of U.S. buyers buy this with finance, with far less 0% finance deals than the UK.

30 quid a month for insurance for 420bhp is cheap while it cost 18 quid to fill up makes it a daily driver.

New muscle cars are getting way too expensive which is why I got mine used.

David Patterson, the key in the last video has a pretty well off family based on his family house seen in other vids. He has a 2013 gt the same as mine. Mine was $38k new, I got mine for $24k so thats like 18k quid.

Being older i'm sure you will apprieciate it more, after all it was the car you always promised yourself.
