I'd live in the highlands of Scotland, North of England is depressing. I'll never go back to Manchester. I've not seen a chav for years.

You may be disappointed unless you want to live somewhere really ropey, 100k doesnt get you much anywhere in the country, I think if you go to the US though, you get more for your money, I looked what I would get if I moved over and it was amazing, but again, depends where you go, but you do get more, there is just more space to go around.

Why is the yellow paint the most expensive paint option?

Because its a tri-coat pearl paint, not a regular metallic. I imagine it is similar to the Orange on the ST-2 and the Green on the RS. Both were a similar price for the option.

Ah okay, I thought it was a solid paint!

US V6 for sale over here if you can't wait.

Don't like the little screen and the sea of buttons.

Hmm, doesnt seem bad at somewhere between 34 and 26 grand but suspect when the supply comes on stream of RHD, UK spec models then this will plummet, for someone it may be worth it to have the first.

It is probably a decent car, ok its LHD and the cheapest engine but its still not far off the earlier GT power wise and Mustang owners have managed thus far on the wrong side of the car. Does look a bit "Rental Spec" though.

Ten grand more and a bit of a wait gets you a RHD GT with Custom pack, this I will pass on that.

Does anyone know why Ford has decided to only sell the Mustang through 'Ford Stores' (yes I know all the crap about it being a halo product etc.)? The trouble is, the Ford Stores round here are all the large dealer groups that you wouldn't touch with a barge poll! I went into my Ford dealer in Louth (John Darke) who I trust and who looks after my cars (I used to work with one of the technicians) only to be told that they can't supply the Mustang but they should be able to service it. So my choice, if I want to get a Mustang is to go to Evans Halshaw or Stoneacre. I really avoided these places when I was in the trade so why should I go there now?

Yes I know it would be a new car but you would be surprised what can happen to a 'new car' before the owner ever gets it on their drive! Also, if there are any issues I really do not fancy my chances of getting them resolved. This has really made me think twice about getting a Mustang.

I would much rather give my money to someone local who I trust and have a good relationship with than some 'wide boy/girl' in a large dealer group who is not bothered about customer service.

What experiences has anyone else had?

With a V8 option anything less is not PH, however my days of clutch pushing are over

saw the new mustang whilst on holiday in Miami a few weeks ago and deposit down on an 'absolute black, ebony hide fastback 5.0 GT manual. Released from years of company car prudence on CO I had been thinking about a 3 yr old C63 AMG at this price level but a spanking new Mustang does it for me... looking forward to RWUB days at santa pod and a track day at Rockingham

Same spec for mine, except Ruby Red instead of black:

I'd have mine exactly the same...to start with. biggrin

Part of the appeal of the Mustang is the huge amount of aftermarket parts and accessories that'll be available. I'd love to see a ruby red one on some 18" or 19" Torq-thrust wheels (black or gunmetal spokes).

We'll see! I really like the look of the black performance pack wheels though, so will probably stick with them (famous last words...).
