The Miura is a work of art:

Running for 11 years, some links are off.

'They say' a Countach is the (way much) better driving car. But who cares?

Imagine if the 80's/90's classic car booms never happened.

Old cars would be just that, old.

That's an awesome video. He's a lucky man but you can tell he's passionate about his cars. I thought the Muira had eyelashes not eye brows?

I know people say the e-type is the most beautiful car ever but for me it's always been the Miura. Pity the driving experience doesn't match up (according to those who know. Although Jay seems to love it).

I loved the Countach first, then mum bought me the Miura book when I was 12, and I was hooked, even more so after the Italian Job. I mean - a bloke in cool shades, cigarette hanging off his bottom lip, on a mountain pass, to the smooth tones of Matt Monro. Don't think a better car ad's ever been made.

This may sound like sacrilege, but I'd love to see a good replica made using Boxster underpinnings, especially since there are so many old cheap Boxsters about, and Lamborghini have stated that they'll never productionize the Miura concept they showed a few years back. Mind you, I don't know who'd be brave enough to let you take a set of moulds off one. Still, imagine that body with a modern chassis and a screaming Metzger sitting right behind your arse!

The sound of that V12 makes me tingle EVERY time. When the oil runs out the last 10 gallons shoul be put into one of these and we should all be invited down to the Alps to hear that sound one last time. Iconic.

The sweet thing about these old 60s - 80s Lambos is (just like TVRs) they all sound and feel different. They are alive and definately have a soul.

Me too, one of life's great pistonheads. Apparently Monkey Harris has just paid a visit. That is a conversation I would like to hear. ears
That's good, I wonder if they will do a show together.
I'd really like to go to California, rent the nicest car I can get, then do all the national parks, canyon roads and coastal roads I see in videos.

Lovely video with a true petrolhead.

As others have posted, the museum in Sant' Anna is well worth a visit. You have to pay but given what's inside it's fair enough.

Tantalizingly, there is a one-off design displayed in there which is a modern interpretation of the Miura. I'll try and upload a picture.
[Edit: upload failed-my picture is too big....sorry]

Yeah. Why? Just leave the past - which is beautifull - alone and let's celebrate the original Miura.

Parallel Designs already make a good replica, albeit using an Audi V6 on a bespoke chassis. smile

Somebody needs to sort their web-site out. It's pretty poor.

Absolutely fantastic.

My all time dream car is the 1968 Miura P400 ZN75 roadster. The dark green one. Will try to find pics.
