1. Escort Cosworth
2. Focus RS mk1
3. Focus RS mk2

In that otder. For me the Cossie will always be legendary. I couldnt care less about how its old and past it. Id have one and have it running 450bhp and nice suspension.

Although tbh I'd have a black 3 door Sierra Cossie over all of them!

Wow. Never realised how truly hideous the mk2 RS is. Just nasty.
I saw a few side by side with various Sierra Cosworths at the Corbridge car show a couple of years ago. They look ridiculously big in comparison to the small, slim Cosworth. The mk2 Focus was never a particularly attractive design, especially in white where the shell looks like an upside down bathtub.

Short version.

It broke down,I replaced the fuel pump and made it worse and then it failed the MOT.

It won't take much to fix but I can't be bothered to do it.

Fair enough bud.

My Impreza RB5 has tested my patience many times over the past few years and spent 5 months of last year parked up. I've just spent about 3k on the engine again which was a new manifold, turbo (VF37), injectors, fuel pump, full exhaust, ecu + mapping, 3 port boost solenoid and various other bits and its uprated clutch is now slipping badly frown - I am getting it sorted but then I've got the gearbox and paint work to sort.

Fortunately its not a main car but the constant maintenance battle is a bummer sometimes.

As always whenever I read something about the Cosworth I have a look - always fancied one. Never had the need for one.

Theres one on Autotrader for £5950. And its standard. Me thinks somethings wrong with that!

The escort rs cosworth forum have seen that ad and it's 99% a scam ad.

Mine would be more expensive than £6K and doesn't even work !

As a Rallyfan, there's only one car to pick; the Escort RS Cosworth, and in my opinion the last true RS. The road version of the WRC car; same size engine, transmission & driven wheels.

The others might be fine, fast cars - but they're not true RS's. They're what I'd call a R ST.

If RS still stands for Rallye Sport, then the latest RS should be a Fiesta with 1.6T engine, and 4WD.

Let's see.
Does it still look like an Escort? Yes. So it still looks st.
Has anything changed to the record books to indicate it was butt fked by the Integrale? No. So it's still st at the job it was designed to do then.

Ergo - it was st. It remains st. Case closed.
Wow this guy is not a true petrol head.....smash

Well, he's comparing it with a rusty stain that used to be a Lancia!
