No doubt everyone knows this, but time for an evening rant.
Road tax expires end of Feb. Wife doesn't drive, and I am off out of UK next week to work overseas, thought I would re tax the car before I go.
Knowing how wonderful computers are, it was no surprise that the DVLC web site knew my tax expired end of Feb. so far so good.
When I tried to renew the road tax, it said it would renew it from 1st January. Which means I would have paid two months TWICE.
This is surely an easy fix for DVLC programmer, good old rip off Britain.

Knowing a little about complex govt systems - the programming "fix" will not be simple. And the process around it, even less so. littleredrooster said:

If it doesn't expire until the end of February, I'm hardly surprised that you can't tax it before the end of January.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
