. That said, the Sportage has been great so far, and while I'd probably never walk into a Kia garage and hand over circa £24k for one, for £200 a month, it's a very good car.krunchkin said:
Eurgh. GF is adamant she want some kind of SUV thing to replace current car, and dreams of an Evoque, which fills me with horror - as does the thought of a mong faced Quashkai (although I know the current model gets good reviews).
How long have you been together? This will only get worse if you let it slip now. 
If you want a quick divorce, buy your partner who wants an Evoque a Defender.
Some of you must be living in a parallel universe. Defenders are cool as f**k, but even yours truly who has driven some right old nails in his lifetime would falter at the prospect of driving a Defender in today's traffic for longer than an hour or so. To young'uns who have grown up with regular, 21st century cars the experience would probably put them off driving forever.
