Any love for this beauty I saw while out for a Sunday walk in the Cotswolds?

Exactly the sort of thing I'd have in a barn if I had a few dozen acres of rough land to play around in!

What is it / who makes it?

Looks like an Esarco to me ,based on a 1980s land rover defender v8.

I think its a HUGO rather than a Escaro. Quibbling a bit as they a really the same thing but more developed.

I saw a very old extended 6 wheeler Range Rover in Ely Tesco this afternoon. It was massive.

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture.

Looking at the text on the side it's not only one of those but might actually be the exact same one the OP found.

Googled Hugo 8x8 and got this: http://www.lr-mad.co.uk/en/esarco-6x6-and-8x8

"This machine pictured above was sold and used daily. Production was stopped after three prototypes and the one production unit were made."

Uber rare smile

There's a lot to love about it. It has three wipers. It has room for luggage. It's on a J-plate and is roadworthy. Ultimate weekend car?

Ah - that page linked above says Merc truck.

Whatever. It's bloody lovely, and I want it.
