RE: Peugeot RCZ R Bimota revealed
Discussion
Couldn't care less about the brand challenges, what it looks like, or if bikers who would own a Bimota would never own a Peugeout.
Can care that they have found a solution to 304bhp reliably from the similar base 1.6 engine that powers my mini cooper s. I am on 270bhp at the moment but have been wondering if I was pushing close to mechanical limits. A production version of my engine with 304bhp shows they think its possible reliably.
A break down of the exact parts they used would be good. I believe that in-line with the previously most other sporty rcz, they have different pistons than standard, different turbo and different exhaust manifold. This version has a cone filter and a bigger exhaust too.
All that fuel economy available from a car that can produce 304bhp from 1.6. Sounds like a winner to me :-)

Things about horsepower from the same 1.6 engine
Probably using Bimota's smaller ponies - they were always claiming great hp gains from a fitment of their own exhaust in the past.Again, don't understand the brand mis-match. Bimota currently use Ducati Engines (who are owned by Audi) and BMW's (who are owned by, err BMW) so one must question the tie up with Peugeot rather than a TT or Z4 special.
Perhaps there's a Bimota framed Speedfight in the making!!
