Bit of a long shot this, got up this morning to find some idiot has driven into our wall. Got the CCTV from neighbours but only shows a tiny bit of the car hitting the wall, doesn't half give it a whack, the only thing that stopped the wall falling over was the fence behind it.

We live near a school, it was done at school time, one of the mum's using our drive to turn round in no doubt. It's something run of the mill I think, Astra or something...

Gonna walk round tomorrow when it's dropping off time to see if I can see the car with damage to the front near side.

Bear in mind they might park it around the corner for a few days, until the fuss dies down

As frustrating as it is, even if you find out what sort of car it is, then find one locally with corresponding damage, it proves nothing and will get you nowhere.

(I think it's an Alfa 147).

Another vote for the Corsa C SXI

Pre facelift, so 2001-2004. I think that dark silver is pretty rare too.

If it was me, and I did actually find the offending car, I'd be letting the owner know I had CCTV footage of them. They could of course call the bluff not knowing that the actual footage proves little, but they could equally go and check out whether there is actually a camera there, and upon seeing there is, could concede and admit liability.

They drive a corsa, it's no wonder they hit your wall!

That's a Corsa C and it has SXi alloys but it doesn't have unpainted wheel arch trims, so it's probably not an SXi (all SXi had unpainted wheel arch trims). I know nothing other than that.

No Corsa C had painted arch trim from the factory, some had colour coded bumper inserts, but that was only on the facelift.

Although I think the one in the photo does have unpainted arch trim tbh

It was indeed one of these, a 2006 Corsa SXI. it pulled up outside today with a big crack in the place where it hit the wall.

Woman driver admitted it was her, gave me loads of excuses about suffering from depression.

Perhaps invite her indoors for a coffee and a nice shoulder massage?
