What's your vote for the car that has aged quickest?

I quite liked these when they came out, and I still like some of the design touches on them such as the double-bubble rear window... but my goodness the RCZ looks older than its 4 years:

Yeah, I'm with you on that.

Although conversely, I think that the original 1-series and other Bangle-designed cars have improved with familiarity.

Realise some people might not agree with me here but Audi A5? Thought it was stunning when it came out but doesn't look like much now.

This would have my vote. The pre-facelift ones look so outdated now

I'm going back a bit, but the Renault Fuego was so futuristic and exciting when it was launched (I was young and impressionable) but by the time production ceased, it looked so old fashioned, it was incredibly quick to me.

I think Audi are making all of their models age quickly by changing the daytime running lights so often. I can instantly tell the year of an Audi by it's drl's alone. I'm sure that the plan is too make them old quickly to sell more cars but if I'd just bought one it would annoy me

As soon as a new Ranger Rover comes out, all the older ones just look ancient!

One of the advantages of retro styled cars is that they don't date! Mini, Fiat 500, Beetle etc have all done well

I hate saying this but I always saw the Maserati Quattroporte as being particularly vulnerable to the ages:

This is 3 or 4 years old. It's just had it's first MOT.

This is less than a year old.

Loved the all glass tailgate and stylised 'Fuego' badge on these.

That covers pretty much every Porsche since perhaps ever! I can't think of many Porsches which aren't a 9**

Mk1 ZR. The Mk2 still looks modern. No replacement helps that biggrin

I dunno about that. The new Astra is a good looking car for it's class. From the outside. From the inside it's still a disaster of over-wide pillars. The decent exterior styling is somewhat spoiled by the ubiquitousness of them though. You see them fking everywhere and the eye tires. The facelift Insignia though, is a very good looking car. If only these new Vauxhalls drove as good as they look, eh?

The A5 I still find to be a pleasibg design but the oldest ones do look ancient. Audi are too quick to update with minor detail changes. An old A5 in white, on small wheels, looks pretty pathetic. A shame, as it's the best looking base model Audi make.

IMO the mk3 Mazda MX5 has aged terribly. It was always a far, bloated piece of ste that looked awful with a terrible interior but the years have only ruined it further, especially with the new MX5 looking so smart. It will forever be the poor relation in the MX5 family.

I think that that is unfair about the Peugeot RCZ. I think that they still look quite modern.

The 2004ish Vauxhall Astra is an example. They looked fantastic when they came out, but that has made them seem old quickly. The Ford Focus of the time hasn't aged so badly because it looked much blander.

'Chevrolet' were still selling these (somehow) five years ago...
