i like good plates - I hate seeing illegal spacing, italic or bad fonts - the screw caps positioned to make up a letter are the worst.
I keep toying with getting x2 £250 for me and the misses car's with the same last three letters, just not got round to it yet,

I would buy mine again.

I have 2 one is my surname on my main car and the other is one my sports car. I like them, I bought them and really couldn't give a flying f*** what anyone thinks. Been offered a lot for my main plate and turned it down so it has been a good investment.

Obviously you have difficulty with reading as I said it may make the car look older than it is, if it was a 57 it would appear younger on a 2007 plate....

Anyway half right about the Ford bit.

It was tongue in cheek.

But if we're being cheeky then its you that has difficulty reading if you think that plate reads mustang to anyone but the dyslexic.

Yep bad use of words. I was trying to say it had great appeal to many, as it had a meaning not only for someone with the same initials but a Doctor, or a boxer as well.

I paid £250 for mine which is a letter, single number, then my initials. It's spaced correctly etc and IMO opinion looks better than the original plate and for reasons i struggle to explain i just like it. I wouldn't spend more than what i did for a plate but if i didn't have the plate and was offered the chance to buy it for the same price now then i would
I bought my wife J111Y ?? (the last two being the first two letters of our surname) off the DVLA for £250 because her sister said not to. The great thing is that it makes her mk1mX5 look 5 years older. (And that's got to be a good thing) She seemed happier when I told her J1LLY had sold for £36K at auction

When I realised in 2001 that in 2010 my exact surname would be released I was excited for a year then forgot about it for nearly 9 years only remembering weeks before the auction.
I went down prepared to pay much more than I did, I was bricking it before and during but got lucky with lunch coming up just before my plate was auctioned, as such it was the first after lunch and many dealers hadn't retuned.

Yes, probably. I bought mine off a student for £40 about 7 years ago. I've had it on 3 cars and folk I know often just referred to my car as MIB. It also happens to be my initials. I was told its worth increased when BMW released the 135i, but I doubt it.

I got this for £69 when I imported the car from Ireland. I know it's a bit cheesy or whatever, but if that's the worst thing I'm doing, what does it matter? smile

I think i'd have mine again, it spells my name (almost) and I wanted one for years! Only bad sides is that it cost me rather a lot of money and more than once people have mistaken for the boxer Amir Khan. Which is kind of amusing cos i'm not exactly trim.

Although ironically I haven't had it on a car for 2 years.
