Its always got to be the Davidoff / Gulf livery for me, great memories!

The Longtail always looks a bit ungainly to me. I always preferred the truncated rear of the standard car.

Different for a racer I know but the fact that you had so much performance from a car with the same footprint as a Boxter while it's competitors were huge and ungainly was one of the best things about the F1 for me.

And I'm probably turning ghey in my old age but I'd rather have a standard roadgoing F1 or P1 over their GTR equivalents.

Nah, me too, but you can't have a P1 GTR if you haven't already got a P1. tongue out

parts look like someone has hit x2 on the play back button

also annoying they constantly hold up the F1 so that the P1 can look better ...

the P1 also sounds totally meh compared to the F1 smile

I'm not complaining about the Harrods livery?!?! rolleyes Hence why I posted that render of an imaginary 12C GTR in Ueno colours, which looks really good IMO. I just found Harrods an odd choice when they have other liveries to choose from with more cachet.

Saying that, do you really think 650s Le Mans bears any resemblance livery wise to the mighty F1GTR that won in 95?

Well aside from the roof scoop and 5 spokes.

Seems a bit of marketing nonsense to badge a version of 650s Le Mans anyway. But there you go. We all know that McLarens marketing dept are doing a laughable job at the moment. hence #blackswan daftness.

Let the cars do the talking!
Yeah marketing is 5h1t but boy do the cars do the talking. This brand is going places quickly and because the early cars are relatively short in terms of numbers compared with Ferrari 458's etc they could become more collectable long term when the general public wake up and realise how good they are and enter the 10 year old used supercar market. Yeah buy new and short term you will take a hit like most cars in this category but MP4 12C's already seem incredible value at £120k

Thing is, looks are subjective. I thought i preferred the F1, but having see them side by side in the flesh, it's simply amazing how old and plain the F1 now looks (imo), with it's much simpler preCAD surfacing being the dead give away.

err doesn't that mean they're killing the values/ collectability then if the early cars are already thick end of £100k down on new inside 5 years?

Agree with you there! I love the F1, but sit it next to the P1 and it really shows its age now.
