I think one of the magazines put a Clio 200 EDC on the scales and it was nearer 1300kg rather than the 1200kg claimed.
Yep... I've seen that comment made before elsewhere. But never had anyone point me to the article concerned. Not saying it doesn't exist, just that not seen it myself. Anyone got a link?

Renault Technical Sheet says : Kerb weight (without options) 1,204

Thanks for that. Probably about the only test article that I haven't read before.

Chin up... things could be worse... I could have bought a Juke Nismo.

Only joking. Still like my car. Suits what I want it for at this point in time.
Now if the Fiesta st offered 4-doors (as in America), I might have been willing to think again.

Down to RS tuning come the summer. 230bhp and 350nm torque should make things even more "interesting".

I have zero interest in this car.

I almost bought a 172, 182 many many times but didn't when I was younger (no regrets, I just bought other great cars instead!), and I still really want a clio 197 (for the looks) but more likely a 200 (because it's apparently much better). They were miniature GT3s - special engines, manual gearboxes, better seats than you can get in anything sub £100k. They were special, and this new one is the complete opposite.

The lack of special bodywork, and a crap gearbox is enough to ruin it. I actually think it's quite a modern looking wee car the clio - I'd have one - but for a rs model, it's just.. Well it's not an rs model.

Clio200cups - buy a last of the line model, keep the mileage low, and you'll have an appreciating classic in 10 years. 200 turbo? Scrap.
