I really like the Lambo-esque wheels and the seats on that car. smile I know the wheels will be kerbed easily, I know the low speed ride will be rubbish, but just look at them!
You have to laugh a bit at the claimed power figures for all these VAG cars, as all the turbo engines are putting out at least 10% more power than they 'should'. This engine seems to dyno at about 250hp, and what's even more amazing is that they map to about 300hp on 95 octane. That's a heck of an increase over what VAG claim!

Some people have mapped them to around 350hp on super, not sure I would risk it but someone has to be the first to discover why VW put stronger rods and pistons in the Golf R

I like them! It rides far better than my previous mk2 vRS on the 18" OEM Neptunes. The Eibachs help however...
Nice looking car , pretty much what I have on order

Eibachs helped the ride on my Fabia VRS, does it make the car too low though ?

Before Eibachs....(note the 4x4 stance)

The last two pictures are lowered. The vRS rides a few millimetres higher than the mk2 vRS and I had that lowered on Eibachs too and never had an issue with height therefore the mk3 is fine.

If there was a reasonable lease going for one of these I would certainly consider.

Shame about the power - Id expect a little more.

Love the look of this.

We re looking for a new car soon and this will be on the list.

Fake exhaust tips?

Who gives a flying fk if they are fake or not? Im not discounting a car just because of that.

As long as it suits the styling then so be it.

You're not going to gain 30-50hp from 3 points more octane, where did you find that figure?!
The Ko3 turbo 2.0/1.8TFSI and older turbo engines had rods, and rod bearings, that failed very quickly with larger turbos. Even a big over-boost spike on the standard turbo will make them more likely to fail.

The 20v 1.8T could be taken up to 330bhp without touching the internals. I'm not aware of bearing failure being a common problem on any mapped 20VT.

I really like the look of the new vrs. And they are finally properly quick compared to how they use to be. 6.7 sec is not to be sniffed at, a remap would take it close to 6 for sure.
Not sure why seat dont release a saloon on this platform and just get rid of the stupid exeo.

The wheels in the picture are truly vile and given how badly the mk2 drove on 18s, I dread to think what this is like on 19s.
Can you explain this please?? I had a mk2 VRS on 18s and it drove really nicely :/

Seems like it was a one-off wonder run on 99 octane, but the average pull was about 330hp. That I believe! smile

330hp is pretty stout , I won't be seeking those kind of figures from mine

It's not common as standard, and with safe over-boost it's fine. It's people running bigger turbos who take the risk, though they are meant to be safe enough up to 300lb/ft. It's not a 'design flaw' anyway.

I just found them to be woeful - the ride was noisy and felt crashy; lateral grip and traction were both erratic on anything other than perfectly smooth roads; it tended to follow road cambers far more than I felt it should;... putting on (much lighter) 16 inch wheels with some decent sidewalls utterly transformed the car. smile

Those wheels are grotesque. The skoda configurator doesn't show the 19" or the engine upgrade yet but you can currently pick an alternative wheel.

I'm not quite sure what the USP of this car is vs all the other VAG cars
