Cars with that special feel?

I'm going to say it because I really mean it. MK1 mx5. I loved driving my 1.6 to work everyday, so much so I'm looking for another.

In determining a car with that special feel, I think Aeroresh hit the nail on the head, when he described a special car as being one that makes every journey feel like an occasion.
Doesn't really matter what car it is, it is mainly to do with how it makes the `driver' feel when they are out in it.

I find the Alfa GTV, 147/156 GTA have it too, also the Integra Type R and the Porsche GT3

You must have similar taste to me - I find all the late 80s sports saloons had that "specialness"
Interesting about the Compact too - I know what you mean though, for me, mine has a special feel that the non-sawnoffs don't - that's why I'm having a plated diff built up for my 325ti
