Brabus 6.0 Biturbo 850 for Geneva
Brabus Mercs can never put the power down, right? Now there's an 850hp S63 4Matic...
This 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe is the Brabus take on the S63 AMG Coupe. The regular 5,461cc V8 is bored and stroked to 5,912cc, just as a small starter. The two turbos are bigger, there are forged pistons, a new Brabus intake plus a new exhaust too. The result is that headline power figure being available at 5,400rpm and an engine capable of producing 1,069lb ft. However, for the "longevity of the entire powertrain" torque is limited to 848lb ft. Spoilsports.
The combination of that power, a seven-speed auto and four-wheel drive traction produces some ludicrous acceleration figures. 62mph in 3.5 seconds is impressive for something so gigantic but 9.4 seconds to 124mph is absurd. Brabus limits the Biturbo to 217mph because of tyre limitations. What the hell could it really do?
To maintain stability at those speed, the Biturbo sits 15mm lower than a normal S63. There are a few aero tweaks as well, including a rear diffuser, plus subtle (for a Brabus) spoilers front and back.
Being a Brabus there are a wide variety of increasingly outlandish wheels offered too. This car will roll onto the Geneva stand with 'Shadow Gold Chrome' 21-inch rims but 22s are available should you desire. And the interior? Discuss amongst yourselves...
Brabus will sell the 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe as a finished car or retrofitted to a regular S63. No price has been announced yet; we would guess a very large briefcase from your chosen Swiss bank account will be required.
