The question is, will NewExigeS be a thread withdrawl kind of moron or a 'furious back-pedalling whilst trying to maintain face and appear correct' kind of moron.
Neither, it will be a 'ahh, ok, fair enough' kind of moron. That Cortina pass put a bigger grin on my face though!
This clip is one of my all time favorites on youtube. Only challenged for the top spot of best 10/10ths driving by this clip:

Too close to call. I've had to watch both many times just to be sure

Not sure if anybody had posted this other vid. Same car/driver/track, and I assume same year.
A bit less traffic, maybe even more oppo. And Blanchimont (scene of the Cortina overtake) is frankly super-scary

And here's how he looks at Eau Rouge from trackside:

Great gear changes up and down.
Pre 1965 cars race on historic tires.Great gear changes up and down.
I spoke to John Felstead. He told me a 5 litre M6B is more than a handfull of secs quicker than a 5.7 litre M6A, due to the tires. Tires are everything in historic racing.
The Spa 6 hours weekend is a must watch event BTW. There's nothing like screaming 911 battling thundering 350GT Mustangs. I believe Chris Harris got the itch to race a 911 this year.

That's a galaxie not a cortina IMHO
I'll get my anorak
Lotus Cortina at 2:48 the Galaxie was much earlierI'll get my anorak
He did pass a Ford Falcon though, just after Eau Rouge
Great clip and another reminder just why old cars are so much more fun
I love watching the in car footage from historics. This one below is a favourite because of the sheer level of grade A, 5 star mentalist driving from Al Buncombe
http://youtu.be/aoXzmejj6hg
Makes the 911 vid at Spa look tame in comparison.
