Nice.

Recently, my father in law gave my eldest a BMW watch he got when he bought a seven series, apparently its actually quite valuable.

Think its somethign along these lines,

Soov, that made me smile, a lot smile

I remember from posts of yours in the past, that your Dad meant a great deal to you, so I'm pleased you found the keyring and I can imagine how it makes you feel.
+1 All the best Soov that really strikes a chord, thanks for the tale.

Lets all cherish our Dad's and memories if we're lucky enough to do so.

I hope you Dad does save you a seat... but I hope he has some 40+ years of propping up the bar without you.

My Uncle bought a brand-new Mk. 1 Escort in 1972. My Father bought it from him in 1980.

When he scrapped it about 10 years later, he kept the 1972 registration number and transferred it to his new car, and the ones subsequently. He said that the main reason was because 1972 was the year I was born, the best year he'd ever had, and so the reg number reminded him of me smile

My Father died suddenly in 2005. So I have continued to have the same reg number on all my cars too, to remember the dozy old git by biggrin
